Five time Paralympian Naresh Kumar Sharma has challenged the order of Hon’ble Chief Justice of Delhi High court through his Advocates Amit Kumar Sharma and Satyam Singh Rajput against his arbitrarily non-selection in Tokyo Paralympic Games 2020 by the Paralympic.

The petitioner had challenged the impugned order dated 27.07.2021 of the single judge of Delhi High Court wherein the Learned Single judge had noted in the order that the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) acted in violation of its own criteria for selection of Paralympic Shooting Team for 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and also directed Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports to examine biasness and illegally in the selection process but did not allow the legitimate prayer of the petitioner to allow him to participate in the Tokyo Paralympics in R7 event.

On being aggrieved by the order of the single judge, the petitioner through his Advocates preferred Letters Patent Appeal (LPA). The Division Bench of Hon’ble Delhi High issued notice to the Respondents but did not allow humble and benign prayer for the short date of hearing. The Division Bench of Hon’ble Hon’ble Delhi High Court did not take into account gravity and urgency of the matter. The Five time Paralympian shooter Mr Naresh Kumar Sharma Filed Special Leave Petition in the Supreme Court through Advocate Amit Kumar Sharma and Satyam Singh against the impugned order of the Division Bench of Hon’ble Delhi High wherein no short date for the hearing was given to the petitioner despite urgency in the matter.

The matter shall likely be listed on Monday i.e 2nd August 2021
